Does Lanyard own housing?

Rather than being limited to a fixed portfolio, our model is intentionally flexible, which gives our clients access to the widest possible range of housing solutions. We source housing based on each employer’s specific needs, drawing from an expansive and continually growing network of partners. This includes everything from unfurnished apartments and furnished rentals to houses, student housing, traditional corporate housing, hotels, and more, ensuring the right fit for every workforce scenario.

We operate in all markets across the United States from New York, NY to Kalispell, MT, Nashville, TN, and Falmouth, MA. If it is not a market we have previously sourced, we can set it up in minutes.

How do I know what the target housing budget should be?

No, you can request as few or as many rooms or beds as you need.

What is a sourcing fee?

This is a fee charged by Lanyard per housing request that is then credited toward the first rental payment when an employer decides to move forward with one of the housing options that Lanyard has sourced. Our sales team is happy to give you an overview of how this works.

What if I have an urgent request?

We'll do our best to prioritize your request.

How quickly can I see housing options?

Housing options are typically shared between 1-7 days after a request has been submitted and the sourcing fee is paid.

Can I tour the housing options before booking?

Absolutely! Just let us know and we can set up a site tour.

How much does Lanyard charge?

Lanyard charges a percentage of total rent, which is included in the consolidated invoice and total cost to employers. We also negotiate discounts and fee waivers, which we pass on to employers.

Does Lanyard provide furniture?

Lanyard works with third-party providers to offer furniture rentals. Lanyard also offers standard furniture and soft goods packages (including linens and towels) for purchase along with assistance with receiving, delivery and assembly.

What if my employees' arrival and departure dates are staggered?

We will work with you to find the optimal housing partner, length of stay and cancellation policy to meet your needs.

What happens if my employees need to leave early?

Cancellation policies vary by property. We work with employers and the property managers to achieve the best outcome.

Are utilities included in the pricing?

It varies by property. All excluded utilities are disclosed upfront so that you can make an educated decision about your housing options.
